Aah yes. It’s a new day folks, a new year too. Time for New Year’s resolutions. Soon, it will be February, otherwise known as the month for admitting defeat. That’s why I don’t dabble in resolutions. There’s only so much disappointment one can bear.
There is, however, something to be said for taking time to pause and reflect. Reflect on long-term goals, what I hope to achieve by year’s end, and how I am using my time. Am I going to try something new? What values will guide how I use my resources? For Whom am I living?
In light of the above questions, I hope to try something new (including this blog), get back to active local church involvement, invest in friendships and my own health. (Those aren’t resolutions, mind you, but reminders🤓.)
I hope that you too will regularly pause. And reflect. (Selah, as the book of Psalms would have it). Happy new year!
P.S. I realise the picture above is not of a sunrise (brand new day), but I hope the vista of the rolling hills of KwaZulu Natal will help with with the selah-ing. Ignore the random electricity line.
