Howdy, fam! It’s 2019. Since I have become more than a little rusty with my Bible-reading—nay, frankly derelict—I decided to re-institute a pattern of regular reading. One short Google search later, and I found a one-year Bible reading plan. (Basically, I clicked on the first search result. One is pretty much like the next.)
For all 2 weeks of reading so far, I’m doing well. I think. But when I tell you that this here Old Testament is an entire riot! Fam!! While I’m still in the History Books, I reckon I might as well throw out some of the questions being raised in my mind, as well as some of the lessons I’m getting out of the text. Sometimes silly, sometimes serious, i.e. business as usual.
I cannot emphasise it enough: I am not a theologian. If you’re reading this, and are a skilled Handler of the Word, please do drop some insight on the rest of us in the comments section.
Second emphasis: reading anything I write does not count as having read the text. I know the temptation to cut corners is real. Try not to. Read your Bible. It’ll bless you. Here we go…
